OUR MISSION

The Society will encourage the study of, promote research in, improve the practice of, elevate the standards of, and otherwise advance genitourinary reconstructive surgery.

The Benefits of Membership

  • Scientific Meeting – GURS holds one Scientific Meeting a year in conjunction with the AUA Annual Meeting, and in October 2019 hosted its first standalone meeting in Athens, Greece. The annual meetings offer an opportunity for learning and networking. GURS also participates in additional Scientific Meetings per request.
  • Network of Experts – The leadership of GURS is available to help answer questions about reconstructive surgery in urology, about residents who are interested in matching into Fellowship programs, and each member of the Board of Directors is uniquely connected to a vast network of experts in the field.  Members should not hesitate to contact other colleagues who are GURS members and leaders of the Society to get connected.
  • Committee Involvement – GURS leaders welcome your input and collaboration about connecting with current members, reaching out to prospective members, planning scientific meetings, strengthening fellowship training programs and mission trips abroad.
  • Participation in GURS Initiatives – Lectureship, International Outreach, Fellowship & Match, Program Planning
  • Career Advice – Have a question and don’t know who to ask?  Any questions from members are answered promptly.  Send inquiries to [email protected].
  • E-Communications – Check the News & Announcements Section of the website for regular updates, application deadlines and other timely information which relates to you as a GURS member.
